What is a Bucket List? Do you have one? Here are some Bucket List Ideas

Want to stay steady and solid on the path to adventure? Never, ever be without a bucket list.  That list of all the things you want to accomplish during your time on Earth?  Yep, that’s the one.  Keep that list close to your heart and close at hand so you don’t become side tracked on the adventure of life. Don’t get overwhelmed with it, look at it as an amazing road map for life and do them one at a time. Remember to keep the main thing the main thing.

We recommend also keeping a vision board where you can look at it every day. More on that here.

Looking for some ideas? Here are a hundred to get you started. We used these three criteria for the list below, but use whatever works for you. All of these have one or more of the following:

Love Bucket Lists and am spreading the word about them to almost everyone I know (they’re definitely not a big thing in Poland – not even a minor thing, actually).

I think I’ve 98 points at the moment, from anything small like seeing a show on Broadway through different extreme sports and short trip ideas to sticking to a raw food diet for 30 days, just to name a few.

Funny you guys should mention being in a Bollywood movie. It’s been on my list for quite a long time now and seems I’ll be flying down to India again this December to actually part-take in a movie production, as well as be featured as one of the dancers (actually, what I have on my list is “dance in a Bolly movie”, not be in one).

Good luck wih fulfilling all of the above! And Steve, let me know once you get yourself to India – maybe I’ll meet you on the sets? 🙂

Love this, thanks Carol and I think it’s really cool how so much of it is about sharing with family! Bucket lists do make one “ponder” as you said.

great website–love all the pictures and all the wonderful articles. You’ve now made me ponder a bucket list. Since I am at the “late” side of life, my few remaining bucket list hopes are far different from what they might have been at the “earlier” side of my life!

    1. hear Rene Flemming sing at the Met in NY
    2. train trip across America and then from Vancouver to Banff
    3. road trip all the way East to Nova Scotia
    4. drink wine in the Italian hills
    5. meet my son on the Santiago de Compostela
    6. spend a week somewhere special with my 2 daughters and my daughter-in-law
    7. watch my grandchildren grow into the beautiful, competent, caring, giving adults that I know they are and will become

Some i’ve done recently and some yet to do:

Recent Completions: Bungee jumped (trerrifying!), went in the cage with full-sized tigers and no protection, rock climbed in NW Thailand, and flew an ultrlight.

Some still on my list (Not all have a physical component per Carin’s requirements, but as I get older (51 now), it seems that more and more things not really physical … are, well … physical:

    1. See actic poppies in the wild.
    2. Have a grandchild
    3. Walk my daughter downh the aisle
    4. Walk the Santiago de Compostela
    5. Play ping-poing in Beijing in Chaoyang park with the old men
    6. Pray atop Wudang Mountain
    7. Sit amongst the prayer flags in Tibet
    8. Walk the bidge-works in Sidney harbour (WAY up top!)
    9. Be in a Bollywood musical
    10. Be a good grandfather
    11. Never stop learning
    12. Survive my wife in old age so she never has to be alone.

Fantastic list Steve, thanks for sharing. I totally want to walk the bridge works in Sydney, forgot about that one. That’s what’s so great about sharing Bucket Lists, it gives others great ideas!! Any ideas on what role you’d play in the Bollywood musical?
