SEVEN Expedition
Welcome to the SEVEN Expedition
The SEVEN Expedition is a planetary circumnavigation of over 50,000 kilometers via all SEVEN continents by SCUBA diving, mountain climbing, trekking, cycling and overlanding. Its goals are to create an entire generation of Ocean stewards while galvanizing the worldwide adventure community.
EXPEDITION CREATES AN ENTIRE GENERATION OF OCEAN STEWARDS IN ITS EFFORTS TO RESTORE OCEAN HEALTH
In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand;
and we will understand only what we are taught. ~ Baba Dioum
The SEVEN Expedition, will circumnavigate the globe via all SEVEN continents while climbing the highest peaks on each of the SEVEN continents, diving with the most magnificent and endangered animals in the SEVEN seas and exploring the most remote and wild places across the planet. This non profit expedition will work with the Ocean of Hope Foundation in visiting schools en route – both domestically and internationally and instituting interactive educational programs that will inspire short and long term change for Ocean conservation. The long term goal of the project is to create over 1,000,000 Ocean stewards from the younger generations that will become involved today AND be the policy makers of tomorrow.
Our Philosophy
During the circumnavigation, we will document by film and photography the majesty of the planet and Ocean and share it with the world through one or more traditional media projects and social media. We will connect with the world as we go. The Ocean is getting hammered and we all need to see what is being lost. We believe that this will be a call to action. We believe that by traveling to the top of the world and then to its depths that we can share a provocative viewpoint. We believe that the best hope lies in the next generation and in solving problems before they are created. That is why we focus our efforts on youth education; because they are not only the future policy makers but the future stakeholders as well. We believe that this epic adventure can inspire us all to greater deeds and that greatness is an innate human quality. We believe that there is still time but we’ve got to act now.
Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it. ~ Goethe
The Idea
A circumnavigation while climbing the SEVEN Summits and diving with the Big SEVEN is a massive, bodacious plan – we know. But it suits us and our skills perfectly. First, we’ve always wanted to give back in a big way. Second, we live for exploring the world and sharing it with others. And third, we’ve always wanted to do something that’s never been done before. Not just to say we did but to know what it feels like to be out there in a place where no human being has ever been, where there aren’t any certain answers, no road maps, no history book to follow and pushing the boundaries of what is humanly possible.
Can I come?
Heck yes. We believe that adventure is best shared by friends and this is a mission that affects us all. Join us for one or more of the dives. Climb one, some or all the Seven Summits with us. Overland with us across a stage or the whole thing. Meet us anywhere along the way. Follow SEVEN on Twitter or Facebook. Become a partner and help us organize the whole enchilada. Share a place to stay along the way. Meet us for a meal. Get out of that rut you’ve been in. Do something you’ve always wanted to do. Share this with all your friends and bring them too. Make a difference. Be inspired.
We’re attracting a large tribe of like minded SCUBA divers, mountain climbers, overland explorers and conservation minded people. As we approach the first Stage, we will post connection points and dates where you can meet or join us.

Is It Dangerous?
Well, yes. Every one of these mountains has taken lives, we will be SCUBA diving with things that can eat us and in overlanding around the world, we’re never quite sure what conditions we will find. So yes, it’s dangerous and while we work VERY methodically to mitigate the danger, it’s never completely gone. After all, this has never been done.
“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear – not absence of fear.” ~ Mark Twain
How can I get on the team and support this world spanning expedition and its cause?
SEVEN will be creating significant partnerships with companies and individuals with which we have shared vision, values and brand identity. We are looking for companies and individuals who we can help in their mission and they in ours because our missions are aligned and/or the same. We are offering a complete Partner Package including media generated during the expedition, live updates, social media and live speaking opportunities. Please contact us here for a Partner Package.
Can We Really Pull This Off?
Yep. In 2009 alone, we summitted two 6000+ metre peaks in Nepal and then the sixth highest mountain in the world – Cho Oyu – at 8201 metres in Tibet. We’ve logged over 11,000 SCUBA dives and have over 30 combined years leading expeditions all over the world to all SEVEN continents. This is our bag baby.

What are the Seven Summits?
The highest peak on each of the seven continents. Twice as many people (500) have been to space than have stood on all Seven Summits. The number is dynamic but currently there have been 248 who have accomplished this feat. No one has ever circumnavigated to reach all of them.
Which Peaks are the Seven Summits? – a list of the world’s most awe inspiring peaks.
- Kilimanjaro – Africa, Tanzania – 5895m
- Everest – Asia, Tibet/Nepal – 8850m
- Denali (Mt. McKinley) – North America, Alaska – 6194m
- Elbrus – Europe, Russia – 5642m
- Vinson Massif – Antarctica – 4897m
- Aconcagua – South America, Argentina – 6962m
- Carstensz Pyramid – Australia/Oceania, West Papua – 4884m
What are the Big Seven of Diving?
- Whale sharks of the Galapagos Islands
- Humpback whales of Niue
- Great white sharks of South Australia
- Schooling mantas of the Maldives
- Schooling hammerheads of Cocos Island
- Leopard seals of the Antarctic peninsula
- The greatest shoal on earth, the sardine run in South Africa. We get stoked just thinking about it.
